Sangita Saha, Ph.D.
Sangita Saha, Ph.D., has been named an assistant professor in the Department of History. Most recently, she was a lecturer in South Asian History at Santa Clara °®¶¹´«Ã½. Previously, she taught in the Department of History at the °®¶¹´«Ã½ of Michigan. She received a bachelor’s degree in history from Calcutta °®¶¹´«Ã½, a master’s degree in modern history from Jawaharlal Nehru °®¶¹´«Ã½, an M.Phil. degree in social sciences from Jadavpur °®¶¹´«Ã½ and a Ph.D. in history and women’s and gender studies from the °®¶¹´«Ã½ of Michigan. Dr. Saha has presented at conferences and workshops in the U.S., U.K. and Europe. Bilingual in English and Bengali, she has working proficiency in Hindi.
